This same guy may also disable his facebook wall to prevent your inevitable declaration of crush on him. A Reddit thread has revealed the most outrageous reasons why couples break-up, and it’s not because they simply grew apart. The list of relationship deal breakers included being too respectful, not being the fastest runner in the class and refusing to apologise for cheating… despite it only happening in a dream!

‘She basically left because I refused to apologise for cheating on her. With her sister. In a dream. That she had,’ one person wrote.

Another appeared to still hold a grudge despite the break-up happening when he was in primary school. ‘I was 6 years old. She was 5. I was the tallest kid in class, and thus got the girl. However, she dumped me because Charlie ran faster than me. F*** you Charlie,’ he said.

A perk of being in a relationship is having someone there for you when times get tough, but having a girlfriend in hospital proved too much for one man. ‘The hospital I had been admitted to was too far away for him to drive to, and he didn’t want to look like an a** for not visiting his girlfriend,’ his disgruntled ex-partner revealed.


They say good guys finish last, and this appeared to be the case for man who said when he was 14, he was dumped because he never pressured his girlfriend for sex so ‘she assumed I was gay’.


And it’s not just men doing the break up, a man was dumped after he could no longer afford to buy his girlfriend lunch every day and she admitted she was just ‘in it for the food’

Experts reveal the surprising tricks that will help you get a flat tummy – and there’s not a sit-up in sight

  • Drink lots of water but avoid anything carbonated as it is full of gas
  • Chewing gum is a no-no as are root vegetables, lentils and pulses
  • Eat oats for breakfast and make sure you drink green tea first thin

Do your trousers feel tight after lunch? Does your belly look twice its size at the end of the day? If the answer is yes, you are suffering with bloating.

While bloating can be caused by various conditions, such as gas, water retention and constipation, there are simple eating and lifestyle changes you can make that will flatten your tummy.

These include drinking six to eight glasses of water, chewing each mouthful of food until it almost turns to liquid, and avoiding all beans, root vegetables and pulses.

NutriCentre’s head nutritionist Shona Wilkinson told FEMAIL: ‘To reduce bloating the main foods to avoid are sugar, wheat, caffeine and alcohol as these are the ones most likely to cause bloating and weight gain.

‘By cutting these out, drinking more water and eating more lean proteins you’ll also help balance your blood sugar levels, which means you’ll have a steady amount of energy to help stop those cravings for unhealthy, fattening foods like crisps, sweets and chocolate.’

And it is important to pace yourself when eating; rush and you may end up consuming more calories.

Shauna explained: ‘Chew each mouthful until the food is almost liquid; not only will this help to ensure that the food is properly digested, but it will also help you to eat slowly and enjoy your food, so can prevent you over eating.’

Here are Shona’s top tips on how to beat the bloat.

Peppermint

This powerful herb has an anti-spasmodic and calming effect. This helps with any gas to escape, leaving you less bloated. Try drinking a peppermint tea as a tasty alternative to your usual tea!

Drink your food and chew your soup

Chew every bite a minimum of 30 times. Chewing enough not only stimulates the secretion of digestive juices needed for proper digestion but it also ensures that your food is properly mixed with saliva and is swallowed with less gas.

Unbroken down food in the gut leads to many problems, one of which is gas. Don’t forget to chew on liquids foods, such as soups and smoothies. If you don’t chew on them, your body won’t produce adequate enzymes!

FOODS TO SPEED UP METABOLISM

Egg whites: Branched chain amino acid kick-starts your metabolism.

Milk and yogurt: Calcium encourages your body to burn fat

Kale: Zero calories and high levels of fibre.

GET A FLAT STOMACH IN A DAY

BREAKFAST

Eat: One slice of wholegrain toast with nut butter or porridge with berries and almond butter or two hard boiled eggs and a cup of berries. 

Drink: Start the day with water and add juice from a lemon. It will make you feel invigorated and it contains antiseptic and cleansing powers. If you start your day off with lemon in your water you are stepping off on the right foot with your digestion.

MORNING SNACK

Eat: Small cup raw unsalted nuts and one clementine or celery sticks with peanut butter 

LUNCH

Eat: Kale or spinach leaves with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, avocado, hard boiled egg, sunflower seeds and lemon and vinegar dressing. 

Drink: After your meal drink organic peppermint or lemongrass tea, which both are great for improve the digestion.

AFTERNOON SNACK

Eat: Natural yoghurt with ginger or sliced cucumber. or watermelon slices.

DINNER

Switch your usual beverage for dandelion tea. It makes a delicious brew, especially just before your menstrual cycle.

Leeks, garlic and onions

Often water retention is due to hormonal issues. Supporting your liver will ensure the correct metabolism and detoxification of hormones. Leeks, garlic and onions are packed with sulphur, which is required by the liver for the detoxification process.

Activated charcoal

It contributes to reducing excessive flatulence after eating. Taken after each meal, charcoal is able to absorb hundreds times its own weight in toxins.

Green tea

Drink green tea in the morning as the caffeine in green tea can boost your metabolism for up to two hours and help to keep your stomach flat. Research has suggested that drinking two to four cups of green or oolong tea may push the body to burn 17 per cent more calories during moderately intense exercise for a short time.

TIPS FOR A FLATTER STOMACH

Eat 5 times a day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and mid-morning and afternoon snacks.

Have herbal teas and plenty of water. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day, sipping slowly, add a teaspoon of lemon juice to heighten the cleansing effects. If you normally drink a lot of tea and coffee and are worried about going ‘cold turkey’ then have just one to cups a day, but really dilute to lessen the caffeine.

Got a sweet tooth and worried about getting cravings when you cut it out? Eating regular healthy meals, with a steady intake of protein, should help reduce sugar cravings by keeping your blood sugar levels balanced. But if you need extra help try taking a supplement of the mineral chromium, it will help boost blood sugar level balancing. Take two 200mcg tablets a day, one 30 mins before a mid-morning snack and one 30 mins before a mid-afternoon snack

Eat your celery. Celery is an excellent diuretic, due to its high potassium content, so it can help with water retention. Add celery chunks to salad, look for a good recipe for celery soup, or use celery as one of the ingredients in a vegetable juice

Limit gassy foods. Foods like beans, pulses and root vegetables are notorious for causing bloating and wind.

Instead, drink water flavored with lemon, lime, or cucumber or try peppermint tea or a herbal tea like Pukka Detox, £2.09, with detoxing aniseed, fennel and licorice.

Don’t chew chewing gum. It can lead to swallowing air, which can cause bloating. It can also stimulate your digest enzymes to expect food which can then stimulate hunger.

Watch your salt intake. Never add extra salt to your food as it increases the amount of water that the body retains and can therefore make you look more bloated and heavier.

Avoid sweeteners. Many people suffer from bloating because they consume too much sugar alcohol in artificially sweetened foods and drinks, and so it is important to avoid these sweeteners.

Sexy Victoria’s Secret lingerie show hits 20-year mark

Yes, Tuesday was Victoria’s Secret sexpot angel time, though the masses will have to wait until 10 p.m. EST on Dec. 8 to watch the 20th annual lingerie extravaganza on CBS. This was just the taping, including musical performances by The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez, after Rihanna abruptly canceled.

Veteran VS walkers like Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio were joined by newbie angels, including Martha Hunt and Elsa Hosk. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were among the non-winged supermodels new to the glitzy show that generates weeks of advance buzz and will be seen in 192 countries by more than 500 million people, according to company officials.

In all, 47 models blew air kisses, flirted on stage with the camera and flipped their varied wings around as they strutted on the runway in 75 looks at a Manhattan armory. But first, there was hair and makeup to be done and a “pink carpet” of celebrity guests to be walked. Questlove and Nick Cannon were on hand, along with a dapper member of the Mets, Matt Harvey, in a black Versace suit.

Hadid said backstage that she has big respect for the veteran angels and hopes to earn her own wings one day. Brand new angel Rachel Hilbert, from Rochester, New York, was in the Pink USA squad on the runway, and was also in awe of the longtime ladies, including Brazilian beauty Adriana Lima, seated just inches away on a comfy white couch in rollers backstage.

“Uh, yeah, Adriana Lima. She’s sitting right there,” Hilbert smiled as all wore pink-and-white striped robes, curlers in their hair, while manicures, pedicures, spray tanning and makeup commenced. “She’s such a sweetheart. Her advice was just breathe and just take it in.”

So how were the nerves for the newcomers?

“Actually, surprisingly, not bad,” Hadid said before the show. “I was really nervous in rehearsal.”

She shared the stage later with Gomez and Goulding.

“I love both of them,” said Hadid, who fell to the floor and gasped in a video of her audition, when she was told she was picked.

As for her famous curves, she prepared with the help of boxing and ballet.

“A lot of sweating and then just focusing on smaller parts because when everything’s in high-def you have to not forget about the little things,” Hadid said. “I’ve watched the show my entire life and this has been such a dream.”

The show featured sections of ’60s boho angels flashing piece signs in teeny bras and panties, swinging fringe and showing off wings made of sculptured paper, leather and feathers, including Jenner. Her gal pal Hadid was among a group of exotic butterflies with wings and outfits sparkling with crystals. The patriotic pink group included an American-flagged theme outfit and wings.

This year’s iteration of the annual Fantasy Bra was fashioned in bursts of fireworks, the theme for one of the liveliest sections of the show. The demi-bra and matching belt are worth $2 million and were worn by Aldridge. They were created by the jewelry company Mouawad in 18-karat gold and encrusted with 6,500 diamonds, blue topaz, yellow sapphires and other precious stones.

Hunt was the last firework, closing the show in another center piece, courtesy of Swarovski, one of the evening’s sponsors. It was a corset sparkling with 90,000 gold, red, green and blue crystals. The look, along with her light-up wings, included 20,000 crystals and 1,200 battery-powered LED lights. The battery pack she lugged weighed in at 19 pounds.

“I did practice … with a trainer. I wore a weighted vest and walked back and forth in high heels,” she said.

Hunt’s last meal before hitting the makeup chair was eggs. She promised her first after the show would be: “Pizza. … Pizza is one of my favorite foods. Pizza and pasta.”

Gomez, a buddy of previous Victoria’s Secret show performers like Taylor Swift, along with some of the walkers, performed on the splashy stage with her dancers as models walked, as did The Weeknd and Goulding.

“I don’t know if I could be an angel, I’m not gonna lie,” Gomez joked. “I look at how hard they work. I like fried food too much. I don’t know if I could give that up.”

Lima, marking her 16th year as an angel, said her nerves leading up to each show never really go away.

“It’s a little bit tough after so many years because the girls are so beautiful and I have to keep up with them,” laughed the 34-year-old mother of two. “I work out as much as I can, and you know, I feel great … I feel wonderful in my skin.”
